I have had my little Snotarella in Cheyenne for almost two months now. This colt is out of a great mare I had the privilege of owning and riding. As with every horse there is a long story about the mare and our journey. A story of triumphs and heartaches, that story is for another day. This two year old has started her own story already as well but this post is mainly for my husband and my mother our two greatest supporters. For past articles on this horse click here,

The Promised Picture Palooza!!! FINALLY!!
Where have I been all weekend?? Well I had another technology free weekend back home with my Mom. I went home to pick up Ned Pepper to start riding again. Ned Pepper is my barrel horse that has been turned out at my gracious, generous mothers! Thanks Mom!!
Sorry you had to wait so long for blog evidence I still exist. But sometimes a technology fast is good for the soul… Anyways here is a flying recap of the drive home and my weekend.Part One: The Road trip
Peach settled in for a long drive.

The one horse town (or maybe one dog town)

We are getting closer to home, I am seeing snowy sandhills and cattle!

My Grandma’s country church

Then Grammy’s drive, Only 15 minutes to Mom’s house!
Ahh finally I am almost home, here is my brother turn, only 5 minutes to Mom’s.

The Peach knows where Mom’s house is,

Part Two: The Niece in the Barnyard
My niece is going to help me get in those fat and furry animals,
She gets so mad at my horse Ned Pepper, “Aunt Holly, I am trying to feed Thumper and Ned keeps getting in the way!”

This is Shawna’s barrel horse Showboat. She emphatically tells me every time I come home, “Aunt Holly only blond girls can ride Showboat. He is blond and I am blond and that is how he likes it!”

We have seen Shawna’s donkey Thumper, her barrel horse Showboat and now this is her pony Izzy. Seriously talk about spoiled!
Here is my NG, looking a little downhill(literally)

This little girl has come a long way!

Part Three: My Mom getting bucked off
Kidding, I couldn’t convince my mom to bronc stomp old Ned for me.
Yikes the first ride after four months of getting plump for me and Ned Pepper!
But he was perfect, not a buck in him!

Here is my Mom, she is a hard worker.
And she has a funny sense of humor…
And she likes Siamese cats
Part Four: Grammy’s B-day Party
My favorite uncle does not want to be a internet superstar!
Yes we are eating rice crispies instead of cake!

Part Five: The dramatic ending
And then after a weekend of catching up with family, I rode off into the Nebraska sunset!
