1st Go Cheyenne Frontier Days 2010

As you know Cheyenne Frontier Days is in Full Swing. I decided to take in a little rodeo action today since my favorite cowboy was in in the team roping. It turned out to be a great day for a rodeo full of Wyoming Sunshine and Blue skys.

One of the first things I saw when arriving on grounds was one of our handy ranch trailers sold from Colt Bruegman Trailer Sales.

My mother-in-law was in town to help cheer our favorite cowboy on.

I made sure to give him plenty of “Good Luck Kisses!”

Even the ever famous always popular Griffith Girls showed up!

Husband and Little Man in the box and ready to rock!

A beautiful loop! Here is the run, see for yourself,

Colt is currently sitting 4th and ropes his second steer tomorrow. Check http://www.cfdresults1.com/ for all results from the 2010 Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo.

Cheyenne Frontier Days 2010

The next week will be a very busy time for us here at the Bruegman household. To officially kick off Frontier Days Colt will be roping this weekend. He is up in the team roping this Saturday and Sunday’s rodeo. Colt is also honored to judge a new and improved format for the rookie bronc riding. Frontier Days brings lots of competitors and visitors to our lovely little city on the plains. I will try to update throughout the week the excitement. To get you in the rodeo mood watch Colt’s run from the 1st go of 2009.

“Let’s Rodeo at the Daddy of Em’ All!

If you are interested in coming to Cheyenne check the official Cheyenne Frontier Days webpage and be sure to give me a call.

What the Hay???

This summer in Cheyenne we have been blessed with lots of rain. Our new place has a great little pasture which has had an unbelievable amount of grass and sweet clover. We recently decided our horses were probably not going to eat all of the grass that was standing our in the pasture. So we decided to make hay while the sun is shining.

Today after all the swathers and balers left our pasture we had to put our fence back up. Fixing fence in one of husband’s favorite activities.

Look Mom it’s family togetherness!!! When I was growing up whenever we were doing something long, boring, hot, tedious, hard, etc. and I would mention my discomfort(I would never complain!) My mom would repeat what her Dad told her many time, “But this is family togetherness!! Aren’t we lucky we get to spend time together.” I would then stare at my Mother like she lost her mind. I miss my family moments, cleaning the barn, cleaning the chicken coup, haying, sorting cattle, moving cattle, dressing chickens, freezing corn. But now husband and I get to share family togetherness and he stares at me like I have lost my mind.

Husband was very excited for an excuse to start his semi.

Our poor friend, “Travis the calf-roper” Asked if he could borrow the tractor to work his arena. Husband told him to come on over, poor guy didn’t know what he was getting into… he had to help load hay. I was glad he was there, I was doing my best to look delicate and make sure I didn’t have to get too dirty.

Can you believe our 17 acres produced 10 bales!!

Hey Peach this is family togetherness! Isn’t it great?

Why do I keep getting this look?
