Another Perfect Sunday

Happy Dreaded Monday to All my friends in Blogland.
I have chronicles of my weekend for you in pictures. Just another perfect Sunday…….here we go!

TrainWreck where were you??? I had to sit through a super loooong day of roping on Saturday without you!!! It was 9:30 at night before we left. ARGHHH Husband had partner problems again. His first partner missed the first steer taking them out. Then partner number two missed the third steer, dang they were 15sec’s on two head and fixin to be sitting good for the short go. Team Roping is soo frustrating!

On with Sunday, sorry for the diversion!

Watchin PeeWee Show Off

Showing off my boots

Watching my farmer husband(well this is as farmer as it gets for us) show off!

My lazy skills, did I mention I love to watch my new horse peewee. Oh I love these boots too!

A nice 4 wheeler ride with my Husband.

Then a scavenger hunt for me!!! I found a note on the door of the house that said:
“Go to the place where the horses know best.”
I turned to Marc and Husband and they both got silly grins on their faces. Hummm, these two can not be trusted, what did they do now???

So this is what I found in the barn!! It read, “too slow! Now go to where the steers know.”

Now by this time I am really excited!! I ran to the roping chutes,
“Still too slow, go to where the tack hangs high.”

Tack Room!! Got it!!

Hey what is going on. Who is behind this silliness??
“Maybe laps will make it plain!”

laps? Plain? what the heck???

hummmmm……..

The pool!!! It’s in the pool, oh my gosh it is soo cold. Those turds are going to make me get in the pool on the coldest day since I’ve been here.

So I am looking all around the pool trying to figure out what is going on, meanwhile husband and Marc and standing around laughing at me. But then I spy something shiny in the corner, I got an eye for shiny!!

EEEKKK!!!

Eureka!!!!

Oh my gosh a pair of custom spurs just for me, wait my initials are HLA…………………

oh wait a minute I distinctly remember getting married to a guy with a last name that begins in B.

That would make my intials HLB.

But just to be sure, I sweetly ask husband, “What does HLB stand for?”
my quick witted husband, “Holly Lane Butthead”
Shocked wife, “oh right, I suppose that would be fitting??”

This shy cowboy told me thanks for putting together his website. I was soo excited I hugged him and made him blush, he had to leave and go hunt dove. I sure got the good end of that trade. I am super pumped about my spurs. I have never had a pair of custom spurs before!!

Now talk about service, Marc was worried he didn’t get them cleaned up enough(I flew home early this AM so he had to get them finished yesterday!), So he was shining them up right on my foot!! He even had them shaped just the right size before I ever even laid eyes on them; you gotta watch your boots around this outfit!

Have you ever tried to ride with your feet tucked up behind the cantel all night. It is rewarding cause you get to oogle and drool over your spurs. But PeeWee threw a few fast moves at me to remind me that is not the way to ride a horse:)

Speaking of PeeWee we ran the chutes all night for roping practice. My mother in law and her boyfriend came over and roped with husband. PeeWee was working all the gates like a pro. He is still a little scared of steers. But he did really good!! And yes South Dakota Cowgirl those are barrels in the arena. I just walked him, honestly! Okay maybe we trotted a few times too, and I may have had the leave the arena cause I really wanted to lope;)

Husband on Mighty Mouse. A driftwood practice horse.

Patrick the cowdog.

My Mother-in-law and myself

Finally my favorite place in Arizona. I had to go there for my last supper in town!

This is too die for……..sooo good. (Mom I know you think I take way to many pictures of food and no ones cares what I ate for supper, but I can not be silent about such perfection)
Terriyaki Salmon with Coconut Rice and Spicy Asparagus!!! I love it!!
This is Marc realizing the green stuff is called Wasabi!!!

The Sushi Eaters of the Evening!!! Yey Marc, such excellent taste!!

This tough cowboy is a NSEC. You know a No Sushi Eatin Cowboy!

I meant to post this last night. However I was worthless after all the day’s activities. Early today I flew back to Wyoming to start work again! Yeah I left my dear husband again, and guess what? It is still windy in Wyoming. I didn’t miss anything while I was gone:)

burrrr did it get colder in Wyoming??

It is really hard to leave Arizona when it is 70 and fly back into a frozen version of hell!

A balmy -2 in Denver right now, we hope you enjoyed your flight.
(lovely, why is it every pilot thinks he is a comedian? Ya ha ha, you Arizona stationed, sun tan lined, happier than thou, aviator wearing, maverick)

lovely I think I see some sun as my car drops to -9.

So tonight, I did chores, fed my horses in about 20 layers and prayed it wouldn’t get down to -22 again tonight! I was sooo cold when I came inside and then I realized I did not go grocery shopping. And it would be challenging to have supper without making the stand in PB&J. Just as I was about to put PB on crackers(I don’t even have bread) I found this:

Leftovers from Olive Garden in the freezer, AWESOME!!! Last time husband was in town he asked the waitress to box up half his meal. He explained it was so his wife could have a great little personal frozen dinner when she was home alone on a cold night.

Now isn’t she lucky??

I totally agree!
